This iPod casing is not just a casing, it’s also speakers. It’s a great casing that you can take to the beach because it carries everything and it has waterproof speakers - big plus point esp when you’re going to the beaches or if you’re camping in the wilderness. One thing though, why does it have to be Pink? :( I really dislike the color pink, they’re too girly. But anyway, it may not be my color but many others might like it. The Pink iPod casing costs $69.90 only from iHome.
Oh and if you don’t like Pink like me, it also comes in Black :)

China’s known for reproducing products that looks exactly like the original. But of course, functionality of these copies are way below the originals of course. But the Yoto MVP-800 has been getting some pretty good reviews from the peeps at Gizmodo, surprisingly. And I must say that the MVP looks pretty sleek too. It is only 9mm thin and has a 2.8-inch 320×240 screen. It is available in 2Gig and 4Gig capacity. The 2 Gig capacity ones, are only $52 bucks too, and that’s pretty cheap for something of this higher than average quality.
Definitely something to check out….IF it will ever get out of China. This product stays in China only. I thought I’d share with you folks how thin and awesome the Yoto MVP-800 is.

Maybe if you have friends from china, you can ask them to help you out here. :)

Maybe they are trying a little too hard to be cool with this product? Remio had good intentions building this, let me say that but if you look at the design, it’s a multipurpose randomness. A dice comes with, oh, a speakers on the twos and sixes, some plug points on the threes and some USB ports on the six and it goes on and on. You can even plug your precious laptops, PCs, and other battery operated gadgets into their surge protector plug points if you want.
Personally, I think the design is quite weird. But maybe that’s just me wanting certain things to be the way they are. I don’t want a speakers cum surge protector cum USB hub cum charger all in one dice. I know, they want us to get a set of die so we can have a proper speaker system - it’s always two with that. But it’s ridiculously bulky and unnecessary.
Here’s a list of specs from the Remio HC UPS/Speakers:
* Full power protection and back up your equipment.
* Intelligent microprocessor control.
* Lightning and surge protection.
* Output short and over power protection.
* Smart battery management.
* USB/SNMP capability.
* MP3/4 charger.
* Stereo audio function.
* RF protection (CATV coaxial jacks).
It even runs on batteries too, i wonder what good would that do if you’re gonna use multiple things on it. It won’t last more than an hour? I guess my take on this Remio dice is that I am not too sure about it. I don’t know if i like it and I don’t know if i dislike it. I am kinda leaning towards dislike more than like though.
No word on the prices yet but something tells me it won’t be that cheap.

Discovery Message Magnet
This is probably quite useful. The Discovery Message Magnet is something every busy family should have because what if you have a message and you won’t be home to tell your Mom or your sister or something? Like “Mom, I stained your favorite blouse, I’m sorry” or “Katie, I killed the cat at the drive way today, I’m sorry” or “Grandma, I got you your alzheimer’s meds it’s on the counter” - important stuff like that.
It records messages for up to 10 seconds so you have to make it short and sweet. And since it’s magnetic you can leave it on the fridge or anywhere that is magnetable. But the point is, you want poeple to see it so they can utilize it.
Anyhow, this gadget is made in China and will be available in the Discovery Store by June 2007. Price is only $19.99.
…because really, Music is Life. And anything to endorse listening to music easier is Love to me baby. This Tune Phones is just headphones with in-built MP3 player that can hold up to 512MB of songs. Not much but hey, think about it - you don’t need to worry about dropping your iPod or MP3 Players. All you need is hook the headphones on your ears with your favorite albums and you’re done!

Now, I have always prefered headphones like that than the plugins cos they keeps slipping off my ear with the slightest tug. BROWNIE POINTS for Tune Phones. And at 2.2ounces only, you won’t even remember having them on after a while. Life sure is sweet when music starts playings all around you :) They run 8 hours after a charge and it costs $75 bucks. Hey, i’d buy it. But mark my word, if this is a hit, it won’t be long before you find a Tune Phones with a higher memory capacity.

Navigation units are not uncommon in US vehicles. Many of their cars, american and internationally made have GPS system in it. You know that deep, cold female voice that warns you to take the next right turn a million times before you reach the turn? Yea. So Panasonic is trying to break into the market, first time, with its in-car navigation unit.
Looking to be the “leader in the U.S. mobile navigation market, Panasonic launched Strada CN-NVD905U. The unit offers a range of entertainment such as DVD players, MP3 CD playback, a 30 Gig HD, iPod video compatibility, a choice of satellite stations as well as antennas and tuners to go with it. It’s looking pretty impressive. It costs $1,800 and needs a double DIN slot, which is somewhat a minus for Panasonic as they have competitors like Pioneer, TomToms and Garmin to go against. They have to make it friendlier to more vehicles if they wanna be the leader in US mobile navigation.

Wave if you want vision and sound. This speakers hail from the land of the rising sun, yea Japan. It’s particularly useful if you have it in your bedroom or workstation as you jsut need to wave your hands upwards and/or downwards for the volume.
It also comes with an FM station so if you’re bored u can tune in to your favorite station. Of course, this mini thing may be the rave because of it’s novel, don’t expect a sub woofer standard when you wave your hands up, up, up…each speakers are only 0.7W. It comes in two colors, black and white and can be run with AA batteries. You can also plug it to your main sound system too if you want but I don’t knwo why you would want to do that. Use it with your laptop, Apple iPod, DVD players as well as other MP3 players.
For $100, it’s quite worth it. Check out their Product Page.

Memo Motion Sensor
The Memo Motion Sensor allows you to record a 10 second (very) brief message and as soon as someone enters your door, the message gets played back. Okay, I don’t know what’s the use of this inane invention unless you’re planning to freak someone coming through the door with your high, pitch, loud and fast pace recordings (10 secs isn’t a lot). I think a yellow post-it note on the fridge works just as well than to waste $26.69 on this egg-like looking gadget.
