No it’s not a phone for mice. It’s a dual purpose phone that Sony has come up with it. INGENIUS i tell you. Who wouldn’t want a computer mouse that is also a phone?? It’s the most decent idea since sliced bread!
This phone is only a available in Japan so people like me who are not in Japan can kiss my big bottom about ever getting one. *sulks*
Let me tell you a bit more about the phone. It’s actually a Skype phone, not a cellphone with GPS, digital camera and what not. It makes more sense that way cos otherwise who would want to buy this cellphone that acts as a mouse? So yes, it’s a Skype phone that transform into a mouse and into a phone again at a flip.
Say AYE! to Sony Mouse Phone.

The keyboard with OLED display underneath every key is set for a pre-pre oder date. A creation from Art Lebedev Studio, Optimus Maximus is worth $1564. That’s enough to buy a new laptop with lots of frills.
Anyway they have added a countdown time to the pre-pre-order date.
The company set a ship date for the first 200 keyboards at November 31st of this year, with 200 more rolling out in December, and 400 more in January, 2008. The designers are attempting to be completely transparent about their development schedule, but that countdown is also to the time when we can finally see a description and detailed specifications of this expensive keyboard.
I have a feeling that despite being so very expensive, I think it’s going to be selling like hotcakes. Novelties like these, they never fail to work really :)

Here’s a pen that looks like an ordinary shick pen but it is in fact also a scanner. This is perhaps the closest thing out in the public consumerism market that’s from a movie set. Really. Remember those spy movies and mission impossible movies where the main character scans a bunch of document using a pen like scanner and once they’re done they just clip it over the breast pockets like it’s just another pen.

This is the DocuPen RC800 Color. I’m going all Wow-ed about it :P
It scans a full page of graphics and text in just 4-6 seconds. Ladies and gentlemen, this is definitely an certified novelty from a scanner the size of a pen. There two versions to this DocuPen, one is the more expensive RC800 at $299 and the other is the RC700 at $99, which is rather affordable for students.
Creator of the DocuPen is by Planon.

Wave if you want vision and sound. This speakers hail from the land of the rising sun, yea Japan. It’s particularly useful if you have it in your bedroom or workstation as you jsut need to wave your hands upwards and/or downwards for the volume.
It also comes with an FM station so if you’re bored u can tune in to your favorite station. Of course, this mini thing may be the rave because of it’s novel, don’t expect a sub woofer standard when you wave your hands up, up, up…each speakers are only 0.7W. It comes in two colors, black and white and can be run with AA batteries. You can also plug it to your main sound system too if you want but I don’t knwo why you would want to do that. Use it with your laptop, Apple iPod, DVD players as well as other MP3 players.
For $100, it’s quite worth it. Check out their Product Page.

This is not a watch, obviously, this is the world’s thinnest 2,500 lumen projector. The projector is 43-mm (1.7-inch) / 1.7-kg (3.7-pounds) XJ-S46 projector blasts 2,500 lumens for ¥268,000 (about $2,263). The XJ-S36 brings the same form factor but drops the brightness down to 2,000 lumens for ¥238,000 ($2,010).
Projectors I used to know was bulky and heavy. This one looks like it could fit into a suitcase and carried along to meetings and what not. The Casio XJ-S46 also comes with a USB port for functional friendliness with a computer. Whoopie. Everything’s USB these days. There are also two other models to choose from, the XJ-S41 and XJ-S31 configurations. You’re going to have to ask others what those XJ numerics means.

Another USB invention that is nifty and useful. The USB Microscope allows your take macro pictures of things around your computer desk. The picture quality is excellent as you can zoom in on the speciments you collect around your house. Hey, you could even make this an interesting gadget for learniing with your kids. Let them see how many legs a fly has up close x200. They’d be intrigued or be really scared, if it’s the latter then your kid might need to desensitized a little in this violent world. Sigh.
The USB microscope is $179.99 at THINKGEEK.

Hitachi Deskstar 7k1000
This 3.5 inch, vertical drive is the first for Hitachi. The Deskstar 7k1000 has perpendicular recording ability allows for more storage space. The price of the drive is pretty reasonable too. For $399 you’ll get 1 terabyte of diskspace (or exactly 931.5GB) that means you can store all your movies, music collections and pr0n stash if you have any all in one single drive. Performance wise, the guys at Anandtech said that it could rival the Western Digital’s Raptor, which has a 10,000rpm, and storage space of 150GB. Hitachi’s has 7,200rpm and a SATA interface.
I suggest waiting for the price to drop and buy two of these harddisk so that you can create a mirror for backups. So if you lose 1 harddisk (they sometimes fail for no reason) then u have another one to back it up.
