Looking at the title, does it make you wonder in astonishment that cookerhoods too have a computer installed with a webcam to boot? What is the point in this?
The Faber Imago has a 19-inch widescreen LCD, a linux-driven PC, a built in analog/digital TV tuner and a webcam. With all that functions, you can surf the net and have a teleconferencing while you’re cooking. Pfft…sacrilege. How can you be doing all that WHILE you’re cooking? You’ll be missing the soul factor of it. Modernity has reared it’s ugly head. No doubt it is a cool idea, but it is definitely not a good idea.
I will bet you that it’s price tag will be a handsome sum too. And for what? So you could surf the net while making noodles?
This is such a cute mug. You just need to select your drink and what you want it in with its special selectors give the mug to the designated coffee maker. No conversations, no small talks, nada. Just you and your coffee on monday mornings (or any other weekday mornings for that matter). The complete geek’s gadget: Drink Selector Mug.
I bet this machines are made for fools. Who would want to spend USD11k on a coffee making machine? The machine supposedly has a micro-filter that filters out the smallest coffee bean particle, leaving you with a smooth cuppa.
But still…11k? It better wash my car and cook my dinner at the same time.
Here’s an invention that is smart and functional for the household – the double duty chair. This chair can unfold itself into a ladder if you ever need to reach that last can of peas on the top most tier of your cupboard. And when you’re done, you can fold back into a neat little white chair and eat your peas on it. How neat!
I was checking this awesome youtube video out about this apartment, belonging to an interior design. The apartment is designed in a way that it is able to change its modular structure, give you a different room each time. If you feel like an open spaced apartment that resembles a loft, you can. if you feel like having a bigger living room to entertain guests, you can, if you want to expand your bedroom because you’re staying in sick, you can, if you want anther bedroom to accommodate unexpected guests, you can….you just CAN with this apartment.
I really, really like this Ceramic Bag Vase flowers. It’s so creative. I want one. Check it out:
It’s not really electronics or gadgets but it’s definitely a THING that’s created out of innovation. You can never tell that it’s ceramic from a far. I think it gives us a little rustic look to our home. I am into plants and flowers this summer. I’ve already burnt a hole in my pocket so I might as well burn another for this Ceramic Bag vase :P
Check out its product page.
The Norpro Onion Holder will save you a lot of tears when you cut onions, literally. It’s not a goggle to protect your eyes of course but it makes your job of slicing onions so much faster, you won’t feel the sting before you’re done. Now that’s pretty good. Also, you’ll be rid of the onion smell that resides inbetween your fingernails and fingers. You can get rid of it by just rubbing lemons on your fingers and washing them with soap after. It works for me everytime :D
The gadget is made from stainless steel and has comb like points where you can poke through your onions and slice accordingly. For $8, i think the Norpro Onion Holder is a steal. :)
Designers at HP have come up with some futuristic designs of their products. At one look, you’ll wonder if it’s not a prop to some sci-fi movie starring Bruce Willis. Yes, they do look might futuristic. Look at the laptop without a keyboard and that time bracelet thing that looks very much like Seiko’s Spectrum watch, and that pen that probably can unfold into a car………… maybe not. The basis of these new designs and models is that every device will be able to connect and/or communicate with one another. Like your car can be started with your a press of a button on your laptop and your coffee will heat up as soon as you open stop your alarm clock, etc. If this ever happens, like how flying cars are suppose to happen in the year 2000, it’d be great. If not, then it’s just another urban dream.
But get this, HP said that these futuristic products are probably going to be out in 5 years. The guys at Gizmodo were rather skeptic about that, stating it’ll probably take them 10 years to do it. Well, i guess we’ll see about that…although I am, too, leaning towards the the skeptical side of the fence.
And that’s just probably a fraction of what’s really out there.
Anyway, the question of this USB Absinthe Spoon’s usability is how often do we really drink Absinthe and why would we need a long thing like that sticking out of our USB Port? Beats me; Absinthe is not really an everyday drink unless you’re an alcoholic seeking for a new high.
For those of you who are in the dark about what Absinthe is, it’s just an alcohol beverage with about 70% ALCOHOL in it! That’s almost 50% more than the usual liquors out there. It’s bitter as hell, which is why this spoon is invented so that people can sieve the bitter liquid through sugar.
Word has it that this USB has a 2Gig memory and it’s still a prototype. You can perhaps get one HERE, if you can come up with a good enough reason why they should hand it to you. Oh did I mention that Absinthe is ban in the US cause drinking it will make you see green fairies flying around? Well, now you know :)
