Hitachi Wooo Phone
At a glance, it didn’t look like a phone at all. It looked more is like a monitor or a tablet or a GPS system for your car. Well, the Hitachi’s W53H Phone is equipped with a GPS system and it is for your car. This is not one of Hitachi’s first GPS phone, in fact they have had many models before as well but this latest model is made to look good in your car with a big screen (pic above has a screen size of 2.8inch, other sizes available), 2.0MP camera, a microSD slot, and a 1seg TV receiver. Word has it you can watch TV with this baby but I don’t think it’s advisable if you’re driving. Currently, there is no price tag on this GPS phone yet. It will only be available in Japan for now too :)

For those of you who are monitoring your health, heart rate and what not, should look into investing in Hitachi’s Biometric Watch. The watch is equipped with accelerometer and temperature sensor, it monitors the wearer’s activities 24 hours a day and sends the information wirelessly to a personal computer where it can be analyzed (how much sleep, how much exercise, lifestyle rhythm).
This product is still in it preliminary stages but it is set to be out for mass consumerism by early 2008. Price unknown yet.

Hitachi’s world’s first Blu-Ray Camcorder is coming out this year. Although we don’t have the details of when exactly yet. The 2nd quarter of the year is almost ending so…maybe end of the year, just in time for Christmas? One can wish :)

All the have is the mock up of the camcorder for now. It looks pretty futuristic in my opinion. It is about time too that the Blu-Ray camcorder comes out. Hitachi’s new 8cm BD/DVD drive bundled with a biggie, 5.3 megapixel CMOS sensor is capable of recording at full 1,920 x 1,080 resolution. That’s pretty much all the info I can gather for now. I will definitely update when we have more specific details about this gadget soon enough!

Hitachi’s scientists are spending a lot of time trying to create a portable Mind Reader. It entails having harmless LASER zapped into your brain……………..
Tell me if that sounds appealing to you? I am actually fine not knowing what other people think and vice versa. It’s a technology that will supposedly help you work your MP3s, cellphones and other small gadgets with the power of your mind. Sounds rather intriguing but I am not too sure about having lasers zapping my brain.
Right now the design of the Mind Readers looks quite uhm…looks like you have a towel strapped on your forehead perpetually. It just doesn’t look cool. Maybe if they could design it in such a way that it looks cooler, they might just appeal to a crowd and eventually have a following :P
