Logitech is one the most reliable in term of quality for webcams. Although i would like to think that their mouse is pretty good as well. But Logitech webcam has enabled many of us to transcend distance and view our loved ones. It has also brought porn to a whole new level of liveliness too.
But what Logitech did not have before was share its awesome web cams with Apple computers. Incompatibility was a major issue and plus, Mac users only makes up for 4% of users? Okay maybe 8% as compared to PCs where 80% of the users are. Logitech has decided to come out nice and make a Mac compatible webcam as a symbol of civility. Instead of making ads with PC to show how inadequate Mac is because it’s incompatible with so many softwares and hardwares, Logitech made the sleek QuickCam Vision Pro.
With the Quick Cam Vision Pro, you can shoot 720p high-def video clips, and VGA-quality video at up to 30 frames per second while video calling with iChat and Skype. It also features a 2-megapixel sensor, and Logitech’s RightLight 2 Technology. The RightLight technology enables to camera to adjust intelligently to the brightness level.
Well, I know what some of you might say. You might say Macs don’t need a bloody external webcam because in Macs, webcams are in built. Not all though, not all.
I was just waiting for the day that someone would stick gold plates up an iPhone. And today is the day, I guess. The 24 carat gold casing by a UK company called Goldstriker is striking it gold with the iPhone. Decadence will be the fall of men. Someday but not today. Today you will be able to choose between a 16gig iPhone fully gold plated for GBP899 or you can go for the semi plated one for GBP599.
This is a Korean production of concept phones set to be out…ohh….for the year 2010? Question is would you use it. In very new age names, here are five of the phones:
You don’t need those HotSpots anymore if your smartphone has wifi. Then again, what smartphones has no wifi? That phone can automatically turn YOU into a hotspot wherever you go. Yes, people, smartphone owners and tech geeks, your smartphone can be turned into a wifi router!
You can even go to their site and test the software out for free. Taproot plans to sell this software to carrier and not individuals so while it’ still in its early stages and accessible to all, I guess you try it out because it gets expensive.
North Carolina-based TapRoot Systems today announced its WalkingHotSpot software, designed to effectively turn a Wi-Fi- and mobile broadband-enabled handset into a Wi-Fi router. At launch, WalkingHotSpot will be available only for Windows Mobile or Symbian Series 60 smartphones. TapRoot CEO Bob Bicksler said.
A free demo version will be available for individuals to download from TapRoot’s Web site, Bicksler said. However, the demo will only support one Wi-Fi connection at a time.
If you’re the lay person who don’t know jack hammer about technology or understand what it is all about. It’s fine. I have a video here that explains what technology it is to you in ENGLISH. No techno geek mumbo jumbo like internet, LAN network, XBox, URL, Wi-Fi, username, google…..etc, just plain good ol’ English even your grandmother will understand.
And I present you, miCoach (F110), a cellphone device that is akin to having your own personal trainer before you. Nevermind that it’s just a block of buttons, a screen and a sexy sliding keypads, the miCoach (F110) number one function is to serve your exercise regime. Of course, it would still have all the expected functions of today’s cellphone.
Upon seeing the Sony Z555a, I was immediately attracted to the shiny outer shell of the phone. And upon reading up on it, i found out that this phone is in fact a gesture phone. The shiny exterior has sensors that allows you to wave your calls away. But this phone has not much of the usual frills you can find in other Sony or Nokia phones though – it only has a 1.3 MP camera and no MP3 player. But kudos to the gesture facility that this phone has, now you can wave your calls away without even flipping it because the caller’s name will also appear on the shiny shell of its exterior when the phone rings. How cool is that?
I got the most wonderful gift for Christmas: A Motorola KRZR (RED) *squeels* I’ve been shopping for it for ages and when the limited red edition came, designed to eliminate AIDS in Africa, I longingly login and out of eBay for daaaays/weeks even….and just when I thought I was gonna get pots and pans for Xmas (pfft!), i was greeted with a nice shiny cellphone !
*pets her KRZR lovingly*
I held back buying because I didn’t really “need” it. But now, I got it….man, Christmas rocks.
