Seiko Spectrum Bracelet Watch

einkwatch.jpg

At first glance, this Seiko Spectrum Bracelet watch looks like a ring. I thought someone out there is making a spoof over LOTR again. But no, it’s a bracelet watch and it’s a might cool one too. It uses E-Ink…and my god, it’s SO sleek.

The question that enters my mind now is how do we tell the time? Apparently it comes in two display modes; one is a more direct way of time telling with digital numbers and what not, and another is a “mystery mode” that keeps you guessing what time it is. Can be quite annoying if you’re keeping time for an important appointment. Just switch to the normal time telling then and leave the mystery mode for a dinner date :P

The bracelet watch is 6.9mm thick and weighs a little shy off 3ounce. Not exactly the lightest but then again, your Rolexes, Tags Hauers and Patek Philips aren’t exactly light either :)

The Seiko Spectrum Bracelet watch is shipping this year for $2000. Quite expensive but still at the lower ranges as compared to the other expensive watches.
