Nikon D200: A photog’s must have
I love taking photographs of food and random ingredients. I also love taking pictures of still life as well as people when they least expect it. It makes pictures candid and true. For so long now, since its reveal last year, I have been eyeing the Nikon D200. It’s like a photographer’s dream camera which incorporates digital and SLR. There are other Nikon digital SLR too before D200 like the D20 and the D40. But this D200 is the creme de la crop for me and I am pretty sure it’s the same for many photography enthusiasts out there.

The camera is a 10.2 megapixel, a far cry previously when everyone raved at the 3.5 megapixel cameras. Boy, have we come a long way. The Nikon D200 captures images with faithful color, details and clarity thanks to its powerful image processing engine. The extraordinary resolution gives the images a significant image enlargments which allows more freedom in creative cropping.
This is definitely a far cry from my Fujifilm F10.
The new image sensor also incorporates high-speed 4-channel data output and features a new Optical Low Pass Filter, allowing photographers to benefit from a significant reduction in the incidence of moir, colour fringing and shifting. The 4-channel output also allows the D200 to adopt the advanced image-processing engine of the D2x that combines colour-independent preconditioning prior to A/D (analogue/digital) conversion with advanced digital image processing algorithms to deliver fine colour gradations with satisfyingly smooth, consistent transitions.
I’ve been eyeing this package for a long time from B&H.
It is expensive…..I am hoping that maybe some day I’ll open my door and find a lovely package address to me with a Nikon D200 camera inside *day dreams* This is on my wishlist.
Read more on reviews of the Nikon D200, and you’re see that there is nothing undesirable about this camera.
