No Contact Jacket

The No Contact Jacket is finally on its way to mass consumerism after its prototype was shown on Time magazine in 2003 as one of the coolest gadgets. The jacket at a glance looks like a normal black jacket that any women would wear. But, try to get frisky with the wearer, and you’ll get about 80,000 volt jolt. That’s enough to set you back, far, far back. The wearer gets fully insulated from within though, so it’s safe. However, I am incline to think what’d happen if there is a tear on the jacket…and the wearer didn’t know. Would they get shocked too?
But anyway, I think jacket would sell like hotcakes if it was more fashionable. If that element of fashion is instilled into the project, with variables, that will make the jacket less distinguishable I think. Would I wear it? Well, yes, I would on days when the temperature is below 5 degrees. Otherwise it’s shorts, a baby T’s and a bottle of pepper spray!
