Kinetix Ikon 600 of Breville

I proclaim myself to be someone who lovesssssss kitchen gadgets. I went ga-ga when I saw Nigella Lawson’s automatic pepper crusher and dispenser. The soft vibrating sound of that tiny gadget tingles me. I have yet to find one similar though. But anyway, today we’re going to talk about blenders. I inherited an old blender from my future in-law’s before I moved into this new place. The blender is yellow from age but don’t let the eyes fool you because at a grip, the blender is REALLY a monster. Not awful as in horridly a monster but it’s a monster in blending, crushing, chopping and whipping things up into a bed of smooooothness. This blender is pretty loud too but that’s because of it’s monster motor!

Kinetix Ikon 600

Anyway, this blender is an old Ikon blender from Breville, an Australian brand. Well, I found its descendent today called the Kinetix Ikon 600! It’s got 1000watts capacity with ‘kinetix’ blade that shakes up food and blend them so you never have to stop you blender to redistribute ever again! So you have undisturbed blending time that produces evenly and silky smoothies. I think the blender will be a keeper, just like it’s old predecessor, but just quieter and modified with our modern advancements.

It’s available in Australia now but it will soon be available in US for about $200 bucks. I’m all for buying quality that lasts a lifetime and 200 bucks for an investment that generates lots of blending happiness and returns? Priceless!
