Amazon.jp Opens Otaku Store
A few days ago, Amazon Japan opened an online Otaku Store. It seems like the mascot is Haruhi, from popular manga/anime “The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya”, but I guess that’ll change often in the future as new fads hit the Akiba scene.
At this site you can buy over 300,000 manga comics, anime DVDs, figurines and other trinkets. It’s Akihabara all rolled up into one place. Useful, if you can’t get to Akihabara easily. But I can’t see it stopping otaku from visiting that hallowed place anytime soon.
