Gadgets I’ve Bought, Part I
There’s a shop in Japan called Yodobashi Camera. It’s kinda like Radio Shack (or Dick Smith Electronics, or whatever your nation’s version is) but pumped up on steriods and filled with all the funky stuff you’ve come to associate with Japan. This includes Gatchapon (capsule toy) machines and in some stores, a mini gaming arcade.
You can buy all the standard things you might need in an electronics store, like printers, computers, washing machines, blank CDs…then you can find cute little gadgety things like what I’ve picked up.
Today, have a look at these:

Kawaii, ne?
They’re cable ties. You use the monkey’s tail and panda’s…errr….tail…to wrap around loose cabling, keeping it tied together neatly and cutely! The tails are made from velcro so they’re reusuable. Lots of other animals were available too. They retail for a few hundred yen each.
More tomorrow!
